This is most of my belongings in the game.

As you can see, i have an ecto and FIVE shards!

I also have a couple of nice weapons and one green scroll.

Seriously, i dont really feel i need to be rich in Guild Wars. I can enjoy the
game without expensive weapons and rare armor. And i really dont need to
have 1 million gold sitting in my storage doing nothing.

Maybe thats just me. Maybe im crazy

I get rich on experience rather than gold and items

I currently have 4k. I am then getting 300k soon (dont ask what im selling) I have 15k armor on my beutifull ranger (Goddess Of Melandru) and I have 15k Ascetics and 2 peices of FoW armor for my monk. I am quite wealthy with a perfect req 8 14>50 eternal bow. All I need now is a good healing icon for my monk

I have:
around 18k
no shards
no ectos
no materials at all actually
no rare weapons
and 15k armor on my Ranger.

Puts me at the low end huh

I've never even been in the UW or FOW, and I have never farmed not one griffon.

The FoW tats are armour not tatoos, all FoW has the same appearance, which for necros is the spikes, the tats you might be thinkin of are the 15k ones.

Just about a month or two before the price reset there was another update which made all the traders work on that principle of "what players sell, is what the trader has", which made the prices of materials fluctuate madly. At this time the economies of america, europe, korea and international district were different. People in korea had very low ecto/shard prices, so they dumped it to the international district. Few smart americans got the times of this down and were present in international districts to buy this cheap ecto/shard and sell it in american market. I knew a few folks who had a few k of ectos/shards this way. They are not playing the game anymore though.. lol.

And you're full of shit. The most I have ever sold anything for in GW is an Icy Dragon Sword for 50k. Almost all of my money has been from coin drops or selling items to the merchant. I have a necro and know how to play with it, I think that makes me richer then all the ppl that dont know any thing and copy other ppl build. btw my max cash ever 430k, and I dont like to farm.

so what ? do you think that 1 million make you "one of the richest people"? come on... richest people have LOT of millions... and they exploited the game in a way or another. the only exeption might be runners. Still, I think you can't have like more than 1,000 ectos by simply playing the game. Definitely
